The marriage vow holds a lot of commitment power, "to have and to hold, from this day forward, for better, for worse, for richer, for poorer, in sickness and in health, until death do us part", but these words of commitment are seldom ever fulfilled. Marriage is neither a bowl of jelly nor a path lined with roses, but it can be compared to a rough river that you need all your wits to navigate until you are smoothly sailing again.

Think of healthy need that you want to accomplish that your spouse can easily fulfill. If your spouse is becoming apathetic, this could be a sign of a marriage crisis. Married couples tend to only hear what their spouse is saying and they don't truly listen with their ears or their hearts to one another which will lead to a divorce eventually. If your spouse doesn't, they will again refuse and think you're crazy. Of course, this is reliable and scientifically tested, but it is worth the try. Before this painful moment of truth that your spouse is leaving you, there were probably signs of your spouse's departure beforehand. According to some marriage counselors, many couples talk to each other but they do not really communicate with each other.

WHAT WILL YOU TO DO WHEN YOU ARE AT THE BRINK OF MARRIAGE?

Change the channel of your awareness by reacting to stressful situations differently. Try using a different approach, the by ways are plentiful. Should you decide to give up, then there is nothing more. Is your marriage worth the effort of learning new ways to reconnect with your partner? If there will be no action now, how much regret will you feel be over the loss of a spouse? How much pain are you enduring because of your spouse's departure? How committed are you in keeping your marriage? Marriage counselors are available to offer good advices but they will charge as much as 80 to 120 per session.

WHAT ARE COMMON EMOTIONS FELT WHEN THERE IS MARITAL CRISIS?

Then there is hopelessness, the person feels lost and does not know what to do. The spouse will be embarrassed to tell family and friends about the breakup. Time heals is true in most circumstances but not for a marital crisis. The feeling of fear comes as a result of financial insecurity.

HOW DO I SAVE MY MARRIAGE AFTER MY HUSBAND COMMITTED INFIDELITY?

Tell him to give you space and enough time to think things out. The two of you should have a heart to heart talk. Analyze the present consequences of the relationship if you decide to forgive him.

WHAT ARE SOME HELPFUL GUIDELINES FOR A HAPPY MARRIAGE?

Do not have unrealistic expectations from your spouse. Never break a promise although you are likely to believe that promises are made to be broken. Treat your spouse with kindness and courtesy. There is history of unhappiness behind words and you cannot change history since a history of dissatisfaction has build up. Although money cant buy happiness, it is important. You can save your marriage and save yourself from heartaches by making the changes that you both need.

HOW CAN YOU PRESERVE YOUR MARRIAGE?

Plan activities that are only for the two of you. What are some damaging myths about saving a marriage?

Myth 1. Devote time each day for your spouse and let him know that he is in your thoughts all the time. You love your kids, you take care of them properly. You will be conditioning his mind on his next move. Many couples get so comfortable with each other that they stop dressing up. Take that action now.

CAN MARRIAGE BE SAVED?

The quality of a marriage does not end on avoiding disagreement. Follow a simple system in building positive marriage skills. The answer is positive.
