Bizarre injuries and compensation claims

Yusuf Evans, from Ohio, was at the Akron based club with some friends who were visiting from out of town when the accident occurred. Evans was watching the show, when the errant footwear struck him in the nose.
"She ran, at a nice speed, grabbed the pole and flung her whole body around, all her weight flung that in a circle around the pole and her boot flew off and it hit me in my nose." He told reporters.
Despite the wry articles in the press, Mr. Evans maintained that he wasn't a regular patron of such establishments and had only made an exception because of his visitors.
Exotic dancer “Tiara” is the cause of his complaint and he alleges the club allowed dancers to wear “improper attire” and that the strip club's stage constituted a “hazardous area”.
“That was my first time ever there – isn’t that crazy? My nose got chipped on one side and I constantly lose the ability to breathe out of one nostril, the passageway gets clogged up.” Said Evans.
“I got injured and I shouldn't have gotten injured just going out and trying to show somebody a good time, I have to live with this the rest of my life probably.”

Mr. Evans clearly found the incident far from a laughing matter and a year to the day of the accident, he filed a personal injury lawsuit against the club. He said he was primarily interested in being compensated for his medical bills and for pain and suffering.
Because the incident happened in a private establishment, the club should definitely have taken out public liability insurance to protect themselves from anybody being injured while on their premises.
Evans was understandably upset by the whole ordeal and wisely sought to gain recompense for medical bills, which in the US, with its private medical insurance, can run into many thousands of pounds.
