We discussed the importance of brainstorming, and how starting with a large list then narrowing down is very critical to the satisfaction level associated with the final decision. We then talked about the importance of the internet for your research, and narrowing down your choices. Now comes this article, with the intention of guiding you through the next step. To further increase your confidence in the car you are buying, you need to test drive every single car left on your wish list. I am to reintroduce the introduction used in the past articles to reinforce its importance before talking about the criteria you should look for in a test drive.
Shopping for a used car is not something the average person intends to do very often or at least not as much as he or she goes out grocery shopping. If you go out shopping while hungry you may buy things that you don’t need, on the other hand if you go out shopping without a list, the odds are that you are going to get home and figure that you forgot to buy something. I can relate that to shopping for used cars, you have to do your homework, preparation and brainstorming to achieve he best results.
When it comes to test driving the car, you should keep in mind that it is best to test drive the cars back to back. So, try to contact the dealerships by phone, setup appointments an mention that you are on a tight schedule, to get to the next dealership. Once you are at the dealership, ready for the test drive, make sure that you walk around the car, and take notes of every detail. Next, examine the interior of the car, and the different features the car is equipped with. While you are at it, make sure that the back seats are comfortable, and spacious. Only now are you ready for the test drive, start the car, and refer to the next article for the details to look for.
